First Communion Instruction, 2026

What will we do for those two afternoons of instruction?

First communion instruction has 2 sessions the student & an adult will attend. 
Sunday, March 8th and 22nd, 1:00pm



Both sessions will begin in the Shalom Sanctuary at 1:00pm and conclude no later than 2:30pm.

First Session: Learn about Jesus' new covenant in the breaking of bread and sharing cup. AND he gives us instructions that we are to "do this". We will paint a chalice from Color me Mine with symbols important to child. The items will be glazed and fired so kids may keep. 



Cost is $20 for the chalice and processing. You may complete digitial payment below.
Please select "$0" if dropping off a check for $20 at the church. Please have all checks (or cash) dropped off to the office by March 4.

Second Session:
Hear the origins of the Lord's Supper in the Exodus Passover meal. Discover the significance of the BREAD. 

Then, we will be baking communion bread! It is a gluten-free recipe that we all can make at the church. 



Bring: 4 eggs, a large mixing bowl, a wire wisk, 2 cookie sheets
